Development of the Western Zone of Djamaa El Djazair
Associated Services
The design of this development was conceived to ensure continuity with the overall project. To this end, the main axes extending from the Islamic garden were projected to converge toward a single access point, thereby serving the various components of the project. The radial lines were reinforced by arcs with the aim of creating adaptable circulation routes while respecting the radial spatial organization.
The project is structured around seven main zones, comprising parking areas, bus drop-off zones, landscaped green spaces, and pedestrian walkways. These areas are defined by a regular geometry alternating between green spaces, rest areas, water features, and two gardens located on either side. The northern side is developed as an esplanade, guiding pedestrian flows toward the mosque’s main esplanade and the thematic garden.
